Coding with Maxwell

Coding Robots: Bee-Bot (Time: 12:00-12:30pm)

Kids will learn what basic coding is and how to code a simple robot. Maxwell will teach them how to act like a robot, and then instruct them how to press buttons on a Bee-Bot to control how the Bee-Bot moves around a map. 

 

Introduction to Coding with Scratch Jr. (TIME 2-2:30p): Maxwell will be teaching students to code on an iPad. Each child will receive an iPad to use during the workshop with their grownup. Kids will be using ScratchJr, an app that develops creativity and coding skills using visual blocks.

 

About Maxwell: "Hi, I'm Maxwell, and I'm 8 years old. I have been coding since I was 5 as a student of CodeSpeak Labs, and I would like to have the opportunity to introduce kids to the world of coding."
