Specifically for: Behavioral Health Works Families with children of all ages who are on the autism spectrum;

Pretend City will be closed to the general public

Wear your costume for trick-or-treating throughout The City!

This special evening is an opportunity for children and their parents/siblings/caretakers to have some fun in an autism-friendly environment along with other families. Community partners specializing in support for children on the autism spectrum will be on-hand to enrich your family’s play experience with welcoming smiles and practical support. 

Play Partners: Pretendgineers and Brain Builders, our experienced stage staff of trained early childhood and child development educators; Grown-ups

Grown-up Tip: Play a naming game with familiar community helpers. Use pictures of people such as police officers, doctors, bus drivers, and firefighters. Be prepared to prompt your child to name the community helper. Building expressive language and vocabulary takes practice and repetition.
