Make sure your baby dons water wear for this special summertime Baby Steps event. This exclusive infant and young toddler only time will give babies the chance to play in water in their own way. We will spotlight the Marina and Beach to celebrate the season and your baby’s development. When children play in water they are also “doing science” and they can learn a lot about liquids and solids. Join us to learn what your baby is learning as they splish and splash! Visit all exhibits for more activities to help you play with a purpose.

Grown-up Tip:Visit us in the Marina for simple activities that will strengthen your baby’s cognitive skills. Show your baby how to scoop water into a cup and then pour it out. Around 10 months your baby will have fun doing this independently. This activity represents cause and effect for your baby.
